Distance Learning/COVID-19 Response

On July 16, Governor Newsom mandated that all public and private schools start the year with Distance Learning, and on July 20 the CIF announced its decision to delay athletics until January 2021. The key to De La Salle coming back on campus is that Contra Costa County has to be off the state monitoring list for 14 days.

Along with the Contra Costa County Office of Education (CCCOE) and the Contra Costa Health Services (CCSH) office, De La Salle High School will continue to monitor the situation with COVID-19. With the local government's announcement of the extended closure dates, De La Salle's Flexible Learning Plan, via Schoologywill be implemented for the start of the 2020-21 school year.

We will continue to communicate with our families as we receive updates from the local and state agencies.

  • Assuming students are well, the expectation is that they continue to work/study online. If students are sick, parents are still required to call into the school’s attendance line at 925-288-8222.
